A 10-minute interactive module that teaches residential childrens’ home staff how to administer daily medication safely and consistently. Designed to improve procedural accuracy and confidence while reducing medication errors. Fully compatible with both mobile and desktop devices.

Instructional Approach
I applied a scenario-based assessment section to this course to simulate authentic workplace decisions in a low-stakes environment. Learners navigate short, branching situations that mirror real-world care settings; selecting actions, receiving immediate feedback, and revisiting decisions until the successful.
Learning Design and Theory
Microlearning structure: concise, stand-alone segments allow focused engagement and quick reinforcement.
Cognitive load management: information is chunked and sequenced to move from recall to application.
Adult learning principles: connects policy to daily practice, using relevance and autonomy to sustain motivation.
Formative assessment: knowledge checks and scenarios double as retrieveal practice to reinforcecretention.
Performance orientation: emphasis on behavioural outcomes, not rote recall.

Built in Articulate Rise 360 for responsive access across devices.
Integrates with client LMS via SCORM for completion tracking, time-on-task and learner analytics.
Accesible Design compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards; clear typography, high contrast, keyboard navigation.

Outcome
Used by carers and managers to demonstrate compliance and support induction training. The format allows easy annual updates and can be repurposed as a refresher micro-course for existing staff.
